Most people have probably heard of Auction Ads by now. How many people are using it? What earnings have you had? I've just added it to a bunch of sites and will keep this thread updated with the earnings.
Put it on one of my sites, didn't do so well. I'm sure others have had good success though, depending on their audience.
The big thing with AuctionAds is to give it time. I know AuctionAds' reporting depends on CJ's reporting, which is frequently delayed.
Why does it depend on CJ? Anyways, I'm targeting a very young group and they haven't bought anything. I think I'm going to make a site for older users that are more likely to buy through paypal.
I just joined them yesterday and i placed them in my side bar but no one clicked on it so far, 200 impression and no one even touched them. do they pay per impression or per click??or per sale??
I made $1.04 so far, LOL. But it has been only about a week. It will take some time to see if it pays off. CTR is pretty low for me, well under 1%, so I'm not confident in the payoff. However, it is fun being able to tweek your keywords to get the type of auctions you want to show up.
im currently trying it on one of my lower traffic sites it seems to be getting a decent amount of clicks but nothing has actualy converted yet. ill give a little while more before i try something else.
All clicks must convert to highest bids at end of auctions to get commission. You also earn commission on Ebay signups from your clicks. yes, it is true the higher the winning bid the more commission you earn. If by chance you have a click for a $500,000 yacht and that person wins the auction then you should receive a handsome commission. Col
It has only been a week but I have had 40K impressions, 70 clicks and have made a whole $0.58! I think there is more tweaking required. The good news is that during this time my other earnings on the same site have not dropped at all - so this is additional Income.
AuctionAds is just a big affiliate for CJ. You are a sub affiliate. This works in your benefit since AA should do enough volume that it can get the higher payouts than normal. So if you send a sign up to ebay, normally you would receive $12. If AA is getting $20 because they send thousands a month, they could, in theory, pay you $15 instead of $12 and still make $5. Since AA doesn't know what income you get until CJ tells them, it may take longer for stats to show. Also, it can take longer for income to be generated since cookies are still kept with the user with your id. So you could have income generated days after a click is recorded.
Excellent points brought out by the user above me on this thread. Key marketing could be pretty good for this type of ad service.
