Maybe its because some of us pay for advertising through adwords and we want real clicks, not just clicks to support another site.
add this to your awstats config file, you'll get the full URL including all the variables.... /home/accountname/tmp/awstats/awstats.accountname.com.conf URLReferrerWithQuery=1
Hopefully the kid is not smart enough to figure that out.. i had his host few months ago... and it doesnt show the whole URL off the start.
im sorry but sit back and think what if it was you doing it? would you want to be told on like a child? he will get busted by them sooner or later thats bull it dont matter who does what if your site is good ranked you should not have to worry about other websites do you guys really know how many sites out there do the same thing>?
Uh, think if it was me doing it? You mean frauding AdSense? I'd deserve to be banned just like him. Yes it does matter. It wastes advertiser's budgets making it harder for legitimate publishers to make money. There are a couple less, thanks to this thread.
I had a hosting site once... it was free hosting, and I offered a generous set of packages just for free... and than I noticed the rash of Chinese users, they were registering millions of users etc. Couple of weeks later I see several of those accounts using my adsense code on the website with a weird redirect script that was refreshing page as if u clicked the add! I got banned eventually and decided to keep away from FREE services I'm referring to the article noted above... its fairly easy to get anyone banned, and I don't like that with Google - to much uncertainty!
I also reported them, I see it says CLICK ON OUR ADS everywhere. Who knows maybe they will learn one day.
If you read this thread I think it will give you an idea of how marketers in general feel about unwaranted clicks. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=256085
google should have a system in place where only url's in your adsense account will display ads, for eg: i add zzz.com to my account, I then create ads for it. Done YET If i add ads to xxx.com instead of ads showing, It will display "Pub invalid, Make sure this URL is listed in your google adsense account" Same sugestion i mailed to them earlyer this year, Never got a reply though
Lots do it but it doesn't make it ok. It hurts legitimate webmasters who work hard to create quality sites and then get Low CPC because no one wants too pay too much because the know that so much of the clicks are going to be from sites like that.
I couldn't resist and click the ads a few times, sure they're scum and good you reported it, but frankly I don't care, so I clicked a few times, just to piss off the political corrects
I dont know what it is.. but the only people here from Canada seem to be mainly the only ones that are smart enough to know it is wrong what they are doing...
i also report you to phplooker.com for posting up their products offer for Free you got caught too!!!!
It really is not rocket science. After reading the TOS and not complying yes they should be treated like a child. It is wrong to break a contract of sorts and since you seem to think that there are many more sites doing this sort of thing you should report them too. I am sure if you had an adwords account you would not be talking smack ....
100% agreed. I also don't agree on buying adwords for supporting someonelse, because I work hard for the money!
