Why is it that the US is always the first selection on the address dropdown bar? Dont tell me its the biggest as its not - that would be China! So come on guys a reasonable answer as to why the US is not alphabetically down the order near the UK!! Drives me mad this! JohnT
that and the internet was invented as a means of communication among the US military and other militaries...
It's up to whoever owns the Internet (a US creation) site you are visiting, it's coded into the form. It's not always first I often I have to U my way past Uganda and the UK to get to it. Make yourself a broswer widget or tool bar to rewrite the form to suit your taste. Or just use the Google (a US company) Toolbar and you can autofill forms and most forms will pick up the your country correctly. If you do create a tool share it with everyone here at DigitalPoint (a US based forum). Hmmm, all the US examples are California based, maybe forms should have California as a choice place above US and US Territories.
And can you imagine how much warmer the globe would be if we Americans had to scroll all the way down past all those foreign countries, all the time. All that clicking and scrolling would give me greenhouse gases and I'd have to get rid of it somehow.
C-c-c-combo breaker! Seriously though dude, don't triple post. My guess is that the US has the most valuable web surfers.
The internet in US is developed, and the internet in China is still developing. The most of the sites are writen in english, while only few % sites are writen in Chinese....
