Ever notice when phplinkdirectory.com goes down you have difficulty logging in and get errors?

Notice: SmartyValidate: [validate plugin] form 'login' is not registered.

Yes, I believe they are related.

phplinkdirectory.com is based on article script, Article script and phpLD both script's templating system is Smarty :)

So, error can be same style ;)

When you got error in phpLD admin login area just reload the page. Then you can login properly.

I'm going to venture a guess that many others are experiencing a similar problem right now - when trying to log in it just hangs...likely waiting on the callbacks, but phplinkdirectory is down.

actually the version doesn't seem to matter? I'm on v. 2 and have the same problem. I'm not sure what the cause is. I hope everything will be ok.

Deleted my comment on accident

"I have been trying to log in my directory also and have not been able to."

I think it is really weird that our sites on our own host would go down because phplinkdirectory.com does.

What is the connection between the two?

Just got it from CReed. I can logged in my admin area, coz my ENABLE_NEWS for admin area is disabled.

Temporary solution for phpLD user what i given one of my client:

Open ur phpMyadmin from cpanel
check pld_config
open this table and browse the data
find ENABLE_NEWS
set it 0
now that is 1
you have to set 0
now chek ur admin area
yes, it's slow but you can open your admin area ;)

Code (markup):

So, when phpld is back we can long in? I wonder all other scripts function in the similar way. I never knew that.

I still don't understand why our script relies on phplinkdirectory.com being online?

It is just the news updates in the back office that are throwing the whole admin off?

Just posted to say that I was not having problems logging into phpLD 3.1.0 here, but you're right it seems to be taking an extra 20 seconds or so to login because phplinkdirectory.com is down right now.

P.S. anyone know what the ETA is for the phplinkdirectory.com server to be brought back online?

Yep, not having the greatest luck today, and I'm sorry about the problem.
It shouldn't be much longer.
Basically, servint is rebooting for a second time now.
There was an issue with the kernal. They told me about 20 minutes ago it should be up within 1-2 hours.

So if this was the only callback, we shouldn't be experiencing the problems with it shut off?

I don't know if this is related but I got an email for nwparks.net. I tested it and it seems to work, bu did this had anything todo with some of you guys not being able to login.

Never had an issue with a potential paying submitter telling me this, but I was getting this on my newly installed 3.1 at wwws.org last week giving me the "I am not authorized" After submitting and logging in at the admin panel.

Just a couple of days ago, I reinstalled 3.1 at wwws.org (had to use 3.06) and it gave me the same error messages, but this time I was able to logged-in using IE7 but not on FF......STRANGE! So what I did is I check out the .htacess file and replace it with one of my working 3.1. Now wwws.org is back to 3.1 and no issue.

Potential nwparks.net submitter telling me this...I tested the submit and work just fine.
