I like how everyone thinks the mexicans are going to keep working for pennies forever. Dont you think, after a while, they will all get together and go on strike for better wages? I cant wait till that happens. All the "poor people just trying to feed their familys" are going to bring our country to our knees. They may be uneducated, but theyre not totally stupid. They know they have the power to really screw our country if they all went on strike.
In 20-50 years cheap labor will be mostly unnessary, as machines will take-up the slack. Americans and even illegals will be forced to advance their education . I'd rather have America recongnize the coarse and not immigrate anyone that isn't college eduated or bound. We need the minds, and not the bodies; otherwise we'll just have a pool of unemployed voters and widespread dissention.
Here is my solution. Old Mexico the 53rd state in the union! We should withdraw from Iraq and take Mexico..next we can get Canada...at least the non-French part.
Mexico needs to be fixed up, all the corruption is what's eating it alive. It's rediculous to have a country neighboring the US is in this condition.
If America breaks into civil war, it will be because of the culture war. In other words, protestants vs. catholics/agnostics/athiests.
well maiby the muslins that are coming in the UE/USA will start some civil wars... They allready created lot's of problems in France, remeber that just a few months ago they where attacking lot's of people, fiering lot's of cars,etc?!
Right, and one thing I have noticed in Europe is that people there seem to be very intimidated by Muslim immigrants. Not so in the US.
I also think that the old threads on DP are still the best. Many topics get repeated, but it seems that back in the days people put a lot more thought into the discussions than now.
The government screwing much more with the Second Amendment could push us into a civil war, but Blogmaster is completely correct about stoners.
