Avoid being TOSsed by AdSense

woot, finally got into AdSense today.

I made several sites that were rejected, but now I actually made one that complies with the guidelines.

Just a question, I see many people getting violated for TOS for their AdSense placements. I was wondering what are the basic preventions to avoid getting tossed. Also, how will I stop some jackass from coming to my site and mass clicking on ads, and a week later, I get slapped with a TOS? I'm assuming you can't unless you block that jackass's IP when you figure it out?

    You assume correctly.

In order to comply, do not click your own ads and use the correct number of ad units and do not lead users to the ads. Just follow the guidelines and if you see dramatic increases in clicks or ctr then send G an email regarding the matter. They usually reply within 48 hours.

Also, well done on getting accepted.

Just don't do anything stupid :) Seriously, you may hear a lot about people getting booted, but the percentage is probably very low and the ones that do often have done some below-board things.

Read the TOS and Policy page. Don't just skim it and click "I Accept" Check them from time to time as they do change or things are added to them. You should become familiar enough with them that you can answer off the top of your head most of the questions that will pop up in these forums.

As jambo182 said, when in doubt, ask them. They've always responded to me (a real human) and always promptly.
