Spending $100-200 on buying directory links. Or on Articles writings and submission. Or on Press Releases. or on blogs. Which one will get more PR? -More traffic or both PR and traffic?
Hm. I don't spend anything for advertising, so take my words with a grain of salt. But I would honestly go with article writings and submission. Whether you use the money to hire ghostwriters or high quality submission services (if they exist), article marketing is my favorite form of advertising. I don't think I'll ever pay for directory links. As high of a PR a directory may have, fact is you'll be very lucky to get a single targeted visitor from a link directory in my opinion. I rarely bother with directories these days. Today I found a link I submitted probably months ago was rejected and I almost fell out of my chair laughing. Press releases...I've never done one so I can't argue with that even though I have my own intuitions about it. Blogs...high PR links from blogs would be nice, but I think article marketing is just the best bang for the buck if you will.
articles are the best way. I do free directory submissions when a site is new just to get the site properly indexed but articles are the main ingredient to an ongoing link building campaign
Directory links are a very good way of getting backlinks in search engines, I once bought only 50 pr5+ directory submissions and had a pr3 on the next update As for the other 3, I don't have much experience with those but I would think blog posts would get you the most traffic.
PR and Traffic are two different thing even though any backlink potentially has benefits of both. You get traffic if your link is on heavy traffic site with similar niche of yours. Gaining PR is rather easy. Just look for a high PR page. It's not too bad to get a link from irrelevant link even though too many of them are not recommended. Quality backlinks usually mean relevant link, links from site that is ranked high in Google SERPs. SEO can be done for free, but you will have to spend time and effort. Money talks though.
I will suggest you to go for article writing and Blog. Still i will say you to find out some good link form relevant site/niche site or from directory. Thanks W.S
Article Submissions and Directory Submission should be choice. If you have something which can rock in press release than go ahead otherwise above two only. Buying blog posts...recommended. But comments.... I don't think comment links are good enough.
yup articles is good for PR, try also bookmarking to different site. actually you can gain good pr by not expending money..cheers
i will prefer not to spend money on buying links rather i will submit to dirs. and write articles as if they are published like in ezines they will be picked up by the publishers worlwide if ur article is really good.i will also prefer press releases.
I'd go for directories. It's a good way to gain backlinks (look for the vilesilencer for gratis directories). I even made a nice sale with the following directory : uncoverthenet.
But, I' d really go for a mix of all the techniques. Don't rely solely on one unique source of traffic, pr and backlinks.
I would concentrate on all of those methods, you cannot survive on one method only. You must not concentrate on one type of traffic and link building only because there are 100+ ways.
I would avoid paying for links, but PR and content should be two prongs of the same strategy. If you're dividing your efforts and choosing BETWEEN content and PR, you're cheating yourself. I'd go for both--even if you have to write your own content or PR material. Don't neglect one for the other.
I wish I saw this back in March. Time for "Dan's Standard Questions" - you ready? What is the Web site you are marketing? What topic/niche/market does it deal with? Who are the leaders in your topic/niche/market? What other sites in your niche/topic/market are (otherwise) related to yours?
