    I like rabbits and they are rodents. They go very nicely in a stew with some chopped carrot and onion.

    I never thought they would be fun pets, but they are.
    They are quiet, affectionate, easy to manage and are trainable. Try paying attention to your friends rodent then role your eyes.

    I don't mind them if they're pets, but if they just run around the street they probably have fleas and that's just... not clean. Oo;

    I think you're wrong there - definitely rodents, vermin, cretinous creatures that wreak havoc and cause a lot of damage. Did Darwin have anything to do with rodents? I don't think so.

    Rabbits don't need to chew to keep there teeth from over growing, and that alone is the definition of a rodent. They are a feral creature to most of the continents that they were introduced so they are a pest not a rodent. Again I say read Darwin.

    I was close - they used to be classified as rodents until 1912 according to Wiki. Since Darwin died in 1882 he obviously knew them as rodents too! We'll call this one a technical draw. No need to dust off my copy of 'Origin of the Species' just yet ;)

    People usually use common mice or rats or even hamsters for feeding snakes, most people wouldn't use exotics like degus or chinchillas.
