I hear alot of unique traffic is great, but wouldnt repeat visitors be great too! How do you guys measure that? one time visitors click your ads vs repeat traffic who will click on the 5 visit?

    Just a thought

i think that in general, overall, on average, repeat traffic is not as good as unique traffic. repeat visitors tend to suffer from banner-blindess..

Also repeat traffic kind of know what to expect when they come to your site. They are there to get content off your site. On the other hand, first time traffic are keen to recieve information and it does not matter where they get it from, so if one of the ads seems to meet the needs, it will get clicked.

I agree repeat is not as effective as getting clicks as unique, that is why I try to spread several content into many sites rather than just one huge site (different layouts = different ad placement)

All depends on the site. Mine, for example, differs only by a tenth of a percent when you look at clicks from Return vs Repeat. Pretty much "in the noise"

Above was based upon one month's worth of data.
