    Hi

I would like to use adsense on a search engine mashup i have.

Basically its a site that lets you search all the major engines from one site.
    Yahoo, google, msn etc etc

Is it against the TOS to have adsense ad's on such a site?

    Thanks

    J.

I dont think it is against the tos to have it on a search engine, but what if someone searches for adult content? You must filter adsense for these searches.

How could everything be fine? Is adsense allowed on adult pages? What if someone searches for adult content? I am sorry, I just see this as breaking tos. You may want to email adsense and ask them.

Since you can ONLY show link units (not ad units) on a results page for google search, I think you better check with them directly.

The "your own content" concern is also very valid.

Edited: The adult content may not be an issue since people can do that anyway using google search on your page. This probably wouldn't be any different than that.

You guys need to look at the TOS. I know a guy who got banned for putting adsense on his search engine.

As long as it is within TOS and Policies. You can only have one link unit on any page, and link units are the only acceptable units on a search results page (referral buttons I'm not sure about, would have to ask)

If you just have the search box, that is NOT considered content and you shouldn't have any ad or link units on the page. If you have a normal page with content AND the search box, then ad units and/or link units should be fine.
