Google update PageRank first or update backlinks link: first
    which comes first?
    Are there any relationships?

    Thanks.

I think backlinks first - they always seem to settle down much quicker than PR.
Backlinks or PR? Place you're bets here!

    If you think about it

Links and PR both update first.

    Green Rep please. =)

Often times you will have a backlink update without a PR update, but iirc there has only ever been one PR update where the BL didn't change, and that was (I think) the Jagger Update, where we had 3 updates very very close together.

I think your PR update would depend on the number of your quality backlinks.

As link is directly proportional to PR means get more back links to increase ur PR.
So link is updated first then PR.

You can't have PR without backlinks. That site has plenty of backlinks.

PR increases if QUALITY, ONE-WAY inbound links increase!

Obviously IBL first and then PR!

    Thanks

No, that's wrong. Why would you post misinformation like that? I mean, yes, ibl links increase your PR, but quality and one-way-ness don't affect it.

PR is based on backlinks so in my opition backlins get calculated first and the PR, I'd say it happens the with the update.

    Hey guys--simple answer:D

How is PR measured by BigDaddy? ---Is not it the value of the backlinks you got on which PR is given to your pages?

So very obvious---first backlinks as Kobra poited but din't elaborate--then based on their PR values--you get PR updated.:D

Unless I'm way mistaken, I don't think the original poster was talking about behind the scenes stuff... I think he was talking about exports. Visual updates.

As in: "should we expect a BL update to happen next, or a PR update? And are they related?"

gogiants - is that what you were asking?
