Paypal requires Credit Card to Verify the account. Unverified account is very limited features. Payment withdrawal via cheque to India through Ordinary Post. There is a chance to miss in postal delivery. We have to extra cautious to the receive the mail. And it takes 25-35 days to receive the cheque.
(im not earning regular through online now)
So I prefered Moneybookers :) - no need of cc to verify the account/swift/wire trasnfer to bank acc.
Major +point to Paypal is accepted mostly and preferred by most of the online users than moneybooker.
MB is growing fast but it has its own problems. I will post later about few MB problems.

You will get your verification pin within few days (5-15 days).

No there is no any provision to transfer funds from your paypal to moneybookers.

Paypal user here. Tried Moneybookers but they aren't as good. And they probably wouldn't be there where they are today if Paypal cared about extending their service.

I just signed up with Moneybookers a week ago, got it verified and all but have not got to use it yet. The only thing I did was to fund it with my local bank account, that works.

Now to find someone who takes Moneybookers funds or can pay me in that.

For me, I signed up with them out of curiosity. I doubt it would be as used as my paypal account.

It seems to happy that active online user like eddy2099 into moneybookers. Welcome eddy.
I received my first online payment through moneybookers yesterday. One of my client(Australia) wants to pay me through MB. He signup. But MB does not accepts his credit card for some reason and insist Wire transfer. So he wire transfer the money to MB and paid to my MB account. I dont get the details of my clients bank charges for Wire Transfer. But I received money in my MB account in Monday. I requested with draw on monday. Yesterday (Thursday)evening I got the money in my bank acc. Very Happy:).
But accepting credit cards is major problem in MB. If the client prefered Wire Transfer then MB is best. Some of the Credit cards do not accept MB, and stated MB is gambling site. Worst thing is some banks temporarily disable the Credit cards dealing with MB. (mostly US/Canada Banks not in Europe). I got details on this from webhostingtalk.
If MB cleares these problems related accepting credit cards, THEN REALLY MB ROCKS!

My bank always call me to verify the transactions made via MB, probably they think im a gambling addict lolzzz and this is mainly coz of the Site name "Money Bookers" They should rename their site to a more professional sounding name rather than a name which gives a direct taste of Gambling :D

Do you have to be a Moneybookers account holder to be able to pay via its credit card payment gateway?

    No, you don't.

If you want to use it this way as a payment gateway though, you have to email them.
