Alive adjusted the pricing, do you want to copy?

Alive adjusted the pricing, do you want to copy?

    Before adjusted

    Regular $34.99/lifetime
    Featured $74.95/lifetime

    After adjusted

    Regular $49.95/Year
    Featured $74.95/Year

IMO, the pricing of alive is the benchmark for most directories.
So should we change pricing from lifetime to year?

    Thanks

I think with previous prices, there would be a sustainability problem for Alive in the near future.

I think is a good move from Chris to ensure the future quality of Alive.

IMHO Featured links should always have been year; regular I think should be permanent.

I am wondering if the links prior to this change will stay or also be yearly? I'm guessing they are permanent as agreed on submission.

    Agnivo007 very well said...

We each have different methods to our madness...

when you go yearly your directory If QUALITY or WORTHY is not even an issue as i do the same in most of mine for featured links.
this insures that the directory will never get to the point of being worthless to our submitters for finding an appropraite catagory on the first page and not page 20.

    hope that makes sence...

!ASK! has been doing it since he started his directory and if you wish to be recognized in a quality directory then thats the price you pay....

    My view anyway..

    thx

Not necessay-the regular links should vary-adjust them from permanent to 2 to 5yrs atleast. Giving someone a permanent link in a directory for a life time i think is ridiculous! JMHO:p

On free markets people are free to ask whatever they think fair for their services and goods, then the market decides if it’s a good value or not :)

That's well and good but to me the money and time to promote a good quality directory is outstanding and giving them permanently links makes me feel that I'm doing the work just to promote the submitters sites for a mere pence. But to each is own, right.

I do not think that a directory would be worthless if it had a category with 20 + plus pages but all those pages were pr 5 or 4. If the main inner category page is strong enough then pr will only drop by one as long as there is a link pointing to them from the main category page.

I have notice a big flaw in having alot of pages to a category where as when you try to go to page 3 ,4 and so on that they have total disappear. So that's why i'm try not to submit to many directories that have stack up so many pages to one category. I limited myself to just 2 pages.

ok Agreed... will you pay $50 yearly to be on page 15 ? Not me sorry as the same has happened to me in a few directories and i said nahhh thx anyway and it was free to boot....so ultimatly you are the one to decide wether its worth it or not but most would agree that they wont unless they know for a fact that they can get on a page close to the main catagory with PR4+ and not be moved.

    thx

No, I would'nt pay that much on a yearly basis, but I would for a permanent listing.
