I'm wondering what PPC programs you use, and how well they work for you, what kind of experience have you had with them?

As an advertiser I've used :

    AdWords - ok results
Yahoo - Irritated the heck outta me so I only used them once
Element Ads - results weren't too bad considering it's a 2nd/3rd tier engine
7Search - again, results were surprising since it's 2nd tier.
Goclick - horrid, horrid, horrid. Avoid them like the plague.

    As a publisher/partner

AdSense - decent earnings, but I received the axe sometime ago for the dreaded "invalid clicks"
YPN - fantastic epc there. been there over a year now and love it.
7search - not bad epc wise either.
element ads - not bad epc wise fairly new with them though
adbrite - low epc but reliable payer

adwords - good results over many markets
yahoo - pretty good results but not as much traffic as above depending on market
MIVA - not bad, good traffic with some markets but not others, nice simple interface
MSN - cant stand it, cannot get it to spend at all!!

I use a pay per click called Oxado on some of my sites. They claim to have 'the highest payout in the industry' but this is a blatant lie - probably 75% of all clicks I get pay less than 1 cent. I am currently experimenting with Exoclick on several of my sites (see details). Preliminary results look promising - at least they pay something for every click and some of my sites are doing particularly well.

    I've only used the following recently;

Goclick...Lots of Traffic, Lot of it International, conversion not that great.
    MIVA...Good features, pretty decent results.

    Hello,

For me the best is Adwords, Yahoo is good, not too bad, also I used Miva, really I don't like it, the interface, etc, as Yahoo we need to wait approved for each camping, and time is money, and they take around 24 hs to approved...

I love adwords, becouse it is inmediality, and you can try different ways of advs.....

    My 2 cents

    Adwords: Great results but spendy.
Overture: Good results and generally cheaper than Adwords.
MIVA: Cheapest of the three but hasn't worked very well. I also swear I see click fraud in there.

As an advertiser, Adwords gets very expensive, but thats only because your getting so many clicks, usually quality clicks

I think its only worth using for certain types of sites

I haven't tried any other ppc as an advertiser, but I doubt there are any better out there

    Google Adwords
    Yahoo
    MSN

I've tried others but there just seem to be too much
worthless traffic coming from the lesser PPC players.

AdWords - The constant innovator. Also, the most deceivingly simple, which trips up many untrained newbies until their budget is blown, they are mad at Google, and they go on a rampage against it. If done right, and with a lot of practice, AdWords is still the best available direct marketing system ever invented with the greatest volume and testing, and measurement features possible.

Yahoo! Search Marketing - I cut my teeth on this one when it was Oveture. I used it often, but annoyed with how slow the reports came and lack of bulk change tools until Panama came out. Right now it is decent, and I have it cross channeled my YSM account into my AdWords, so I don't even have to login to YSM to get the the executive overview (clicks & conversions). I can see those from my AdWords interface. Depending on the product your site may convert worse or better on Yahoo. Since a lot of my clients are BtoB, they do not convert as well on Yahoo, a consumer-based engine.

MSN adCenter - I was annoyed at how slow it is going from one dashboard to the next. I applauded them for stepping up to the plate and offering a more robust AdWords-like platform way before Yahoo decided to finally make a change. Conversion rates are pretty high. If they take my bulk account upload from AdWords I will sing their praises, but for now it is not worth the time if already using Google and Yahoo, unless your products are exclusive or have a high demand from women.

Ask - This was the biggest surprise of all - lots of less expensive clicks and lots of conversions. Although Google AdWords provides Ask with their sponsored search listings, Ask also offers their own. I guess they have their own network as well. I'm not sure how it all works, but it's not bad and as with MSN, if you have the time, and the right product, it might be worth looking into. I would check the demographics on the search engine use, many young people (which are now getting a little older ) use it.

just adwords for me. But for the last couple months I've killed my spending on it to focus on building links. ($$)
