TLA pays me via deposit to Paypal on a monthly basis. Like Clockwork There may be other payment options, I am not sure.
I have a question for everyone that has sold links... I have a simple website in a sales letter format with a PR 3 for the index page. All other pages are PR4 and this website shows up on page one of google organic search for 3 major keywords. This website is in the health and beauty category and is over 2 years old. How much do you think I could make for text links posted on my links page? Thanks in advance.
They have a caluculator on the website that will tell you this. Go to www.text-link-ads.com then Make Money>Free Tools Hope this helps
I would recommend building up the websites PR before selling links. PR is one of the factors in how much you can sell a link for from your site.
actually im trying to build up my PR on my blog and my other site. do they do it for Blogs? and is page rank alll they really care about? because i coudl have a PR4 but get like 50 visitors a day woudl they still buy ad space? oh and while im asking this, does anyone have a clue when the next google PR update will be? it sucks seeing my sites with PR0 And i want to earn some money!
In my experience of TLA (and I sell ads on a number of sites) traffic is irrelevant and PR is the main criteria. I've never seen less than a PR4 site accepted (although there are sites with lower than PR4 in the program, those are sites that were PR4 and have lost out in Google updates). Anyone had a loess than PR4 site accepted? The calculator is misleading as it gives a price on all sites even those that won't be accepted by TLA.
This is exactly why i regard their calculator with distrust and as little more than a ploy to get more people to apply.
I understand where you are coming from, but I wouldn't "distrust" it. For their purposes they are trying to give you an idea of what you could make with them if your site is accepted. And as a publisher, I rely on them to use a criteria, and only accept quality sites, because if they didn't ,then my websites income would most likely decline. I used the caluculator, my site was excepted (PR4) and they produced exactly what the calculator gave me in the beginning, however my links have now sold out, and as one drops (not that many) and I gain another , I am getting more than what the caluculator estimated (I assume based on demand). So, I would say, if you are using it to determine link value outside of TLA, then it is not accurate. However the calculator itself (when a site is accepted by TLA) is a very good indicator of the money you will receive.
