.. March 2007, i spent almost $300 for buying links. which included: - 1 link from PR8 webiste - 2 PR5 blog - 5 PR4 website - DP signature link so, Tell me your story.
Woou! A link from a PR8 website! How much did you pay? Hm... I am also interested to see others people expirience with this. Is it really worth it? I am confused. Some people say that it is really worth it, some other are very dissapointed. I think it depends on how niche your websites is and how much competitors there are for that niche. I believe that "general websites" will need a lot of PR5+ links and a very small niche website needs just 1,2 PR1 links....
Where did you get this PR8 link? A total was $300 so the PR8 was for how much? I would like to get hold of such link
$300 you could get a more than a dozen odd sites for it and also I think you spent most of your money in the PR 8 link buying!
yea, but dont discount the power of a good pr8 link. a ton of crappy low quality links will give you a boost, but it is a temporary boost, whereas a few good pr8 links can keep you ranking well for a long time.
of course. wet em from all different places, the more diversified the better, and theres no reason to not have some free ones!
Yup, i've done it all, and in the end it was the high quality expensive links that finally pushed me onto the 1st page and kept me there (so far)
Just buying the Yahoo Dir link cost $299. I've probably spent 1k in links and blog post since my site went live (3/1/07). JerrSun
I'd never pay the 300$ a year for the yahoo dir link. I'll spend around 500 to get started on a site if I want a pr6 or 7 in a year
yahoo dir is just as stong if not stronger than dmoz and i'd pay 299 if they would just list my damn site. someone should buy dmoz and turn it into a 24 hour turn around paid submission, they'd be a millionaire in a year or two.
Anybody who could afford to buy dmoz would be a millionaire many times over already. The money would be better of kept in the bank.
Free links are the best links. It means the site owner is genuinely interested in what you do, not in your money.
Was that PR8 link on a related site? Personally, I don't buy any links. Maybe down the line I may, but I haven't as of yet.
We also haven't bought any links before but they can be real boosters when you are #10 on the first page of google, we got some sitewides this month and now we're #3 on google.co.uk for our main keyword
So far. .. nothing. I cannot yet afford this. I started some link exchanges now, maybe as I grow I'll be able to afford paying for them too ...
lol - oh yea, i never thought of that...i just hate to see wasted money making opportunities that arent being being tapped
a friend of mine spends minimum 100k per year in links for his client. Needless to say, he definitely ranks in the top 3 for every keyword he targets (probably hundreds of them)
