The free version, non wordpress, is not ready yet. The Pro version, non wordpress (paid) is available and I'm using it now on a site I'm building. I've not added it to my site for sale yet, but it is ready. I've integrated it into an osCommerce shopping cart. It can be integrated into anything, really. Just a few lines of code, but the Pro version has a lot of expanded options opened up to it.

If you are interested in seeing it in action, send me a PM and I'll send you a link to the site I'm building. Cost on the Pro version is $39.95.

Can you show us a blog post with the eBay listings integration?

Edit: Actually it's OK, see what you have done now. Very nicely done.

    Hi bb123,

In the pro version, you can set it so that it returns products only from a specific country and/or products available to a specific country. Slight difference between the two, as the first list products for sale in the country, where the second lists products that buyers are willing to ship to the country.

phpBay Pro is now released. I've set the price at $39.00. I've had a few sales already, before it was officially released. You can see an interesting integration of phpBay Pro into an osCommerce site here. Note the urls have no reference to ebay and note the images use mod_rewrite.

Also, do a view source on the pages that contain the auction listings. No javascript here! No reference to "ebay" either. Actual product titles and info in the source for search engine bots to slurp up :)

The Pro version is pretty well documented. It's pretty easy to integrate it into any existing site that can use PHP. All you really need is an ebay affiliate ID through CJ or Media Plex.

Here's what the actual code you would use in the Pro version looks like:

Thanks Will! I'm excited about the product. I've put a lot of time and effort into it, to take the hassles out of it and make it super easy for the end user.

Can I use complex search strings?
Can I use it on multiple domains?

    Hi mhdoc,

I received your email as well. You can assign a category, insert a search string AND include negative keywords that you want to exclude.

You can also set a minimum bid amount for the returned results as well. This works well in the following example:

Say for example, you want to setup a site about selling Corvette parts. Someone has added in a hotwheels Corvette to ebay for $2.99 . You know for a fact that Corvette exhausts go for at least several hundred dollars, so you can set a minimum amount to return bids from.

It's pretty detailed. All these parameters are very easy to formulate as part of the source (as seen above). You can really fine tune the returned results to weed out the low paying or non-relevant items.

Yes, you can use this on multiple sites. Honestly, there is no easy way to track multiple site use and it's not worth the trip for me to even try. Buy once, use forever. However, if you create niche sites with the script, then later sell one of those sites to another user, I would appreciate the new buyer purchasing a copy of the script if they don't have it. Puts Dr. Pepper in my fridge :)

    Hope this helps.

So how's it going with anyone that is using the free or pro version?

    It sounds very promising. :)
