Can other family members have their own adsense account?

    Hello.

I own my own adsense account.

My sister wants to start her own website -- i've told her about adsense, and if its popular, she could make some money.

    BUT

I also told her that she cannot use my account incase she gets me banned" haha.

She now wants to have her own account, but i dont want it to get my account closed as we live in the same house.

Any advice would be great. Would this be a question best asked to google themselves?

She would not have anything to do with my websites, and only focus on her blog/website

    Cheers.

You can directly check with Google by sending an email to them. You can get correct reply from them.

Exactly my problem -- google could think its just me opening another account. (which im guessing you think by the smiley face ;) )

I will email them and see what they say. I am very careful with my account, and dont want to risk it. It took 5 attempts to get my site accepted.

    Thanks again.

Yep, why not? Afterall, every person should have the right to run adsense as long as they are of right age and qualify.

Well I think that the best way is to have only 1 account. You just:

    1. Make a new channel for you sister's website
    2. You get earlier a check from google :)
    3. You cash the check and you give your sister the money she earn

I read that accounts were disabled because they were both logging from the same computer [same i.p e.t.c]

Well this is just my opinion. However you should contact Google and "paste" their reply here. :)

    It shouldnt really matter.
Ive never really had a problem with 2 Adsence accounts (one as mine, the other my brothers). Been paid several times until mine got suspended for illegal clicks, but my brothers account still works and there doesnt seem to be any issues.

just fyi, if either one of you gets banned, you both lose your accounts, yours and your sisters. that's because they ban your ip, your name, your address.

    don't get banned

Some contradicting information on here now.

advoor -- says his brothers account was banned, and his remained ok.

svnelvn -- you say that both accounts will be banned.

Really, if my sister does do somthing wrong (or if i do somthing), it shouldnt effect the other. that is kind of wrong. It's like banning a whole house because of one persons mistakes.

There absolutely no problem. I use to have another family member with adsense in the exact same home address and both cheques arrived fine. It is 100% OKAY with Google. Google will tell you that if you contact them ;)
