Probably targetting any site that exists. I hope they are aware of this and don't discover they have $$$$$ to pay in CPC costs :D

I've been seeing a lot of Telus ads as well (from adsense) a few on DP and on other sites. Do you think it's pay per impression as well as per per click?

Edit: Okay they're appearing on my site now! They're not even relating to my content.. I've seen text and image ones.. interesting..

Do you think they only target canadians? (is telus even offered in the states lol).. it's annoying that they appear on my sites (totally irrelevant)

my only guess is telus just put a big chunk of money into adsense. it's just like when Vista was out, my site had "WOW" all over it. and now it's all TELUS

Canadian here also... seeing the same.. They probably are geo-targetting anyone in Canada, regardless of the theme or the site the ad in being displayed on.

TELUS has some minor operations in atlanta and washington (reselling other people's LD and data) but other than that they're not really in the states so I'm guessing they won't appear. Kind of odd that they're doing this kind of push though when they mostly focus on "brand" building as opposed to specific product/service advertisement.

canada has just introduced number protablity. you can swtich from canadian rogers, fido , to telus, and vice versa. and keep your number
i gues telus is trying to get ahead real fast.
cause they know there are a ton unsatisfied fido and rogers customers out ther for grabs.
telus is supposed to be a better cust service company, but they use cdma not gsm like fido and rogers (which are both ownded by rogers communications- their chief is an ego maniac that changed the name of SkyDome - a chershed institution- to Rogers Center after he bought it cents on a dollar)

Even I am getting annoyed by all the Telus ads, thought I was the only one seeing them everywhere I went.

    Yep, Canadian.

True. Today was the first day here in Canada where you can switch to another phone company and still keep your number.

    Very aggressive from Telus.
