if you are going to quote me, quote what i said, not what you said or are you so inept that you dont understand what quote means?
no still the same view. just approaching from a diffrent angle. the pointis is all these books are the same. there is no reason to defend any of them or attack any of them. people do good and bad as they please not because a book told them.
It is very funny that the same rule and excuses that applies for Christianity does not apply for Islam and you attack Muslims for giving the same excuses as you do. Just get over, there is no God and all these religious books are just bunch of old books that are better than some other books and worse than others. I know that there is no point in pointing out again and again the anti-semitic in Christianity since you will not read it but if you decide to look then here is my previous post. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=382809&postcount=1725
That's exactly what we were pointing out about you. Stoning...cool, never a bad word. Smite about the neck? Nope, no bad words there. Don't befriend Christians and Jews? Right up gworld's alley. In fact, for a "supposed" atheist (apostate in recovery?), you are about the most biased atheist I've ever encountered. Never a bad word...
Thanks, thats a really good quote, well keep it in mind for when the next thread against Islam arises
No, this is the same rule - the verse in context. And interpreted using the whole book. Your link to your post is another copy and paste from an anti-christian site I am assuming, since the person writing their thoughts on the verses quoted are a joke. The people proclaimed their responsibility to kill Jesus since Pilate saw Jesus did nothing deserving of death. Sure the KKK and many muslims will agree with your interpretation, yet if you read the verses it says nothing about Jesus blaming the Jews for His death, He (Jesus) takes it further by saying He lays His life down and no one can take it. I am sure you already know this, but that isn't your point now is it? Question: What did a Christian do to you that has made you such a bitter old man? Why do you hate Christians so much?
oh so your're a newbie huh? (i hate that word but it's better than n00b) just because i use colourful language, doesnt give you the right to misquote me. there is lots of reasons to attack peoples poor judgment when they proclaim that all the bad they are doing, is in gods name and the book tells them so. (before you start, thats quaran or hadith's) what amazes me the most is this, what cant they see, that the rest of the world can?
where did i misquote you? i just like the conversation to be a little polite is there anything wrong with that? but if you have a problem with comunicating politly i'll get used to it. who said you can't attack people for poor judgment? i think this was a good opportunity for some people to see that every religion has its own parts that are not inline with current acceptable norms of society we can not let tugs dictators and terrorists use the religion as an excuse for their behaviour but you seem to accept that it is part of islam and argue that every good moslem should follow their example. is this really what you want to say? do you want 1,220 million people be terrorist or leave their religion? sounds like a combination of fear prejudice and lack of common sense to me
Is Pope, the leader of Catholic Church a KKK or Muslim? He forgave the sin of Jews for killing Jesus in 1965 or only 42 years ago.
you really don't get it, do you? debunked called you a christian basher....go back and read the posts, or are you like gworld and just skim to the bottom and pretend you know what is going on?? A) it was a different pope B) why shoudn't he have forgiven them? Technically it was the romans who crucified Jesus...the jews just brought him before them...
point me to where debunk said i was christian bashing or point me to where i did such a thing maybe you should become pope. at 16 you know everything about finance law history and religion. so who knows in a few years maybe?
Here ya go: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=2537464&postcount=27 I could never be pope, A) I'm married B) I'm not catholic...although if I were to leave my denomination I would align with rome...as far as being knowledgable...I'm working on a masters degree...my undergrad degree was completely different, and I like to cruise the net and find out information...if you are going to stay ahead, you have to know what your competitor is thinking...I try to do that.
Not sure, but has anybody mentioned that these are not represented as the words of god in the bible. This was a letter written by Peter as advice to the head of another church.
I could actually care less what the pope did. I read no where in the Bible that the pope represent Christians or Biblical authority. Jesus himself already forgave those who did it, "Forgive them Father for they know not what they do." I am neither Jewish or Roman, but I say it was because of me that He was punished on the cross, so if you want to blame someone - blame me.
Failing to be conned is actually a good thing. So is failing to fall for anything. Now on the other hand failing to use your brain, that is a bad thing.
I agree, you should give up on a 2000 years old book of nonsense and start to use your brain. This is of course if you have any.
