    you guys are funny. :)

well, it's 8:05 AM here Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada
the cable guy will be here between 8 & 10 (heard that before) LOL

    why did i wait?
not sure really. i'm not cheap, i can tell you that.

i think it just worked for me. really i was only doing e-mail, editing my HTML, basic FTP, doing basic banking etc.

*** freeing up the phone for my wife will be a bonus ***

of course, there were no incoming or outgoing calls while i was on the net. :)

*** actually freeing up the phone for me will be nice too - TALK & SURF - what's that. LOL

    CHEERS.

Make sure you rip that modem apart to pieces, with a sledge hammer, and then burn it, then stomp on the ashes repeatedly and then collect them in a polybag and slam it against a wall until the polybag breaks and sets the ash free.

actually it might be more like welcome to 1998 :p

or when did cable/DSL make it onto the scene?

we were slow to cross over by most accounts. more power to the OP though, I wouldn't have lasted 1/2 that long!!

Yeah it's like jumping from the early 1990's to the present day. :D

Except music was much better back then. :)

Get on a torrent site* and check the D/L speed for a real buzz!

    * Make sure that what you download is not copyrighted though. :p
