Adsense and Blogger/Blogspot concern

Discussion in 'AdSense' started by Kerosene, Mar 14, 2007.

I've just enabled Adsense on one of my Blogger/Blogspot blogs - but I'm a bit concerned about the agreement, see below - the bit in bold.

How exactly will Blogger 'manage' my account?

I assume that clicks won't be counted until I click yes to the agreement.

Google own Blogger, so I'm sure it's all cool, but can anyone who uses Adsense on a Blogger site tell me if they screw with your Adsense account in any way? I don't want ANYONE fiddling with my Adsense.

no, i use blogger and it is fine. Blogger belongs to google. You know? The agreement is just because of the easy way to put adsense in the layout section-> site elements. Agree, that is fine.

@ mixke : there's no choice, it's either accept the terms, or don't run Adsense.

Anyone else with Adsense on Blogger?

    This is really easy.

By allowing Blogger to access your account you can Adsense really easily to your site. You can automatically add the Adsense without leaving your Blogger dashboard

By now allowing them, you have to go through the Google Adsense site and then manually add it to your blog.

Of course, you should allow Blogger to access your account! Why wouldn't you? It's the same company after all.

As I told you. blogger is a google company. With the old blogger you had to do that manually. Now the new blogger became optimized and the beta phase came to an end. Now both adsense and blogger are connected. You also use the same username and password for both. If you logout of blogger you re be logged out from your adsense account too. So everything is fine.

Yeah I've already added the ads and they're showing up fine.
I just thought the wording was weird that's all.
As long as nothing changes in my Adsense account, then I'm happy.

How? I'm using the 'new' Blogger, and have added Adsense using Page Elements.

Do I need to add it to my template instead to use channels?

I wondered about that too. I think you all missed the part where it said Blogger would share in your earnings. That part got me  But I see the large site using Adsense. Now I wonder if they simply added their code manually via the html/javascript module rather than allow Blogspot access to their accounts.

yo add adsense in layout and then get into edit html, create an ad just like in your blogger blog and add a channel, then only copy and paste the channel id and put it into the blog html code.
