I have this domain katropa.com that expires March 13, 2007 I have tried to pay last march 5 via paypal but their system don't renew my domain, but the transaction from paypal was completed.

I really need to pay the said domain because this is my main site, and I tried to use directly my visa card and the message success and the money deducted from my visa card, when I tried to login this morning I found out that the site was not renewed.... I pay it again from paypal and paypal recorded that the transaction is completed but the domain still not renewed and after 3 hours the domain expired and my site is down... Where my money goes I pay $27 more less and still I don't get my domain...

Any one here have access or contact at registerfly.com please will you help me tell them about this I have created a ticket and report this problem and don't get any response from them.

Registerfly is having major cash problems and ICANN has served notice on them. I wouldn't be surprised to see them file bankruptcy. I don't think you are going to hear from support - there are people who have had tickets open for months without a response.

I've had trouble buying a domain with them last week. It just doesn't register. I started a ticket last week some time, and hope to hear from them whenever they are ready.
I will buy from someone else!
    Anyone else had similar?

From what i know, from March 3 onwards ICANN has frozen all domains at registerfly for 35 days. This means that it cannot be registered, expire, or be transfer to other registrar. Your domain will be safe during the 35 days period but please watch it from time to time. There are tons of domain watchers prowling on registerfly domains, I have a few domains there as well and the problem im getting is i cant change the DNS as well.

    Hope this helps,

    Jerome

So are the expirations extended or would domains expiring during that period drop all at once after the 35 days?

Good luck as registerfly steals your money.

They partied away the money customers sent them.

Hope you could get back your domain name. I guess it pays to renew your domain name months before they expire and if you face any issue, you can move the domain name out before it is too late.

I guess it is cutting really beyond the point where you can move your domain name to another registrar even if you wanted to. If the domain name was done through Registerfly through eNom, you may still be able to contact eNom and move it to their system but eNom seems to charge an arm and a leg for domain names. But in the end, it may be better to completely lose it or experience downtime because of it.

No, not when it is already expired. The domain is also locked and you can't unlock an expired domain. You need to call registerfly or hope they respond to an email.

ICANN isn't going to be able to do anything to get you immediate help. They might revoke their accreditation, which doesn't do anything to help you. I don't think you will lose the domain, but it might be quite a while before you get help.

I've been warning people about registerfly for months. You best/only chance is to call registerfly, but expect to be on hold for hours.
