This is a photo of the first EVER Google server. I wonder how many they have now First Google Server EVER
I read somewhere that they operate like 100,000 severs at over 10,000 data centers. Here is a similar article to what I originally read. http://www.ics.uci.edu/~mayur/google_servers.html
Something like that. But I'm sure that they have different data centers for different stuff. Like company servers which aren't accessible to the public. And they probably have thousands of those. lol, Imagine the size of their backups? It probably takes like 5 data centers to do it!
Have you ever seen the one they made from Lego? Google operate one of the worlds largest server farms which has helped them dramatically become who they are today. Plus all the brain power they brought on board.
I read another article about the work environment there. It's amazing. You don't have to dress up or anything. Plus, you have to work on their projects for only like 60% of your time. The rest of the time you can focus on your own projects. You can even bring pets into work. http://www.google.com/jobs/working.html Have a look! BTW, that's just some info, I read more elsewhere.
Thats how Google News was invented by Krishna Bharat who has been passionate about global news since he was a child.
