How do I go about building backlinks?

    Like, where do I start?

How do I know what backlinks to buy, like should I be in the link buying forum, purchasing links?

I just don't know where to begin. Should I be doing link exchanges or just purchasing links?

Why purchase if you can do it without spending...improve your backlinks through submitting your site through directories, forums, blogs, create articles and submit them to article directories, improve your contents and make it useful for link baiting, link exchange with relevant, quality and trusted sites...you may spend some money but not much of it...

I haven't heard much about creating articles to article directories. Does it actually work for getting links/traffic?

Go for a mix and match of as many different types as possible.i.e Forum links, blog back links, article marketing and yes some reciprocal links where it looks natural.

If you are fairly creative then your linking strategy should be fairly Human centered and thus no problems as far as the SE's are concerned.

I use three main ways to get lots of backlinks to my site. Writing articles and submitting to directories, Posting in forums such as this, and Posting to Newsgroups such as Yahoo, MSN and Google. Although you won't see a tremendous increase in traffic overnight, if you do it consistently, you will start to see an increase in traffic. The thing is however, the traffic that you will be getting will for the most part be quality targeted traffic as opposed to traffic from random sources.

I noticed you only have one link in your signature. If you have more than one site, why not list those sites there too? Also, go to the exchange links section to find more links that can benefit you and others.

I think using a free service such as Receive Links works best. You can do very well in a short period of time.
