Is This a Good Niche?

    Hi,

I'm thinking of starting a website related to travel, specifically European travel. Aside from my interest, would this be a good niche?

    Thanks.

Definately a good niche in my opinion, and you have an excellent target audience for people wanting to visit Europe. It should be a high PPC as well, good luck if you decide to go with it :)

I don’t think so as there are too many sites in this category. Can you be little more specific?

just what I was going to say.

I have a travel blog, doesn't do that well though. I struggle to get traffic though - my eCPM is good, but traffic is too low.

Before starting travel site I would suggest either create a travel blog or buy relevant blog of specific niche, this will help you a lot in terms of traffic and organizing your travel site.

Its a good niche. Yes, true it has a high competition, but if your site is good then it will get traffic. Also, it is possible to get traffic to a site for keywords other than the min ones lkike "European travel" and otehers like that.

Niche by all judgement. I would suggest you expand the keywords and add more like Norwegian cruises.

try to narrow down the niche into:

    European travel for working mum
    European travel for backpacker
    European travel for business

European Travel is a very competitive niche....The good thing is that it is your interest so i hope it would work in your favor.

its too competitive in the travel segment, but u can never succeed if you think of failure first.
But its gonna give high returns too, personally i wouldnt go for it if i am not able to dedicate myself fully to it.

I'm wondering: Why a blog? Is it just for the content? Then can't you just create content without it having to be in a blog?
