I am a little bit happy today. Yesterday I took a flight from Sweden to Norway and on the plane with me was the prime minister of Norway. This remind me how lucky I am living in a very peaceful and rich country where all inhabitants can using the same transport if they want. Its also depressing because it reminds me that the poorer the country is the more dangerous it is. This example shows that to get peace in the world have to get rid of poverty. Well, thats not news, but this is a good reminder. What about your country, can you end up on the same plane as your prime minister ?
It seems like if you country was rich, it's high officials would be chartering private planes. But that is cool that he can fly "with the people".
Past and present Canadian prime ministers prefer to fly in our military's Challenger jets at the taxpayers expense ($11 000/hr). Harper even took a jet to bring his son to a Toronto Maple Leafs game.
Our President used to fly via commercial flights till the Prime Minister had it hijacked and wanted the plane diverted to India where the now president would have been hanged for being a 'enemy of the state'. So Im kinda glad im not sitting next to someone so important.
True, imagine puking all of a sudden out of nauseating experiences of being on a plane, right on the Prime Minister! That wont be too good now hehe. IT
