Dog Article Site For Sale (PR2) - dog-advice.net

    Hi,

I'm selling my dog article website (http://www.dog-advice.net) as I don't have the time needed for it. I have a number of other projects on the go like my directory sites and my pagerank site (see sig).

The website is custom developed by me. It uses aspx.net and mySQL backend to store the articles. it has a Dog News page which gets it's content from an RSS feed which can be easily changed.

In the past I have added articles directly into the mySQL database (using myphpadmin), but if needed I can quickly add an admin page so you can add/remove/edit articles as needed.

    Details are as follows:

Site Age: The site has been up since April 2006
    PageRank: 2
    Indexed Pages:
    Google: 335
    Yahoo: 221
Content: The articles on this site are not unique and have been sourced from various article directories etc.

Since the 14th of April 2006 it has made a total of $51.64. It made $2.73 last month (January) from adsense. It's made absolutely nothing from the Amazon ads.

    Revenue: adsense1 adsense2

Traffic is minimal - About 15 visitors per day as I have not promoted it except submitting an article to some article directorties.

    Starting Bid = $50
    BIN = TBD

    Cheers ....
    Gerald.

Ah !!! You're using Firefox right? Sorry about that. in IE the text boxes are displayed full size, but in Firefox they are not ... it's a problem I just discovered as I don't use firefox ..... it's simple to fix and I will fix it shortly :)

    Thanks,
    Gerald.

Why does Amazon not make money for the site?

    Regarding the articles:
    Are they searchable?
Are they copyrighted? (How are they free?)

    Hi,

Regarding Amazon sales. I don't know why no one buys anything. It maybe due to the type of Ads displayed. But I just haven't had the time to look into it ... Amazon ads are based a keywords you specify, so they are easy to change. You just need to spend the time to research what people will buy and what they will not .....

Articles are not searchable ..... But I did have iSearch (paid) mod which basically crawlled the site and created it's own mySQL database. The reason why I took it off is because I couldn't get the search page design to look like my website correctly.... But someone with time should be able to get iSearch to work and integrate with the site better....

Articles are not copyrighted... They are free to use as long as you keep the 'author' tag for the articles.

    Hope this helps.

Is it still for sale ? Almost 4 weeks later now... Restart a topic, isn't that better ? :)

Can you give the terms of auction ? Like end time ? :)

Send me the latest adsense proof please ? :)

Hi, Well the ebay auction ends on 14-Mar-07 19:44:11 GMT (1 day 8 hours). But if anyone makes a bid over £55 (US$107) I'll take it and end the auction.

So far Adsense for this month (march) is US$0.78
Last month (February) Adsense was: $2.41

'Best Offers' are private on eBay hence why you cannot see it. If I do not get at least that offer of £55 ($107) here on DP by tomorrow, then I will just accept the offer on eBay.

    Cheers ....
    Gerald.
