According to the current standings, Australia will win. But 1983's world cup clearly shows that standings aren't everything .
No there are no day night matches. I always feel day-night matches add to the theater of the game. WI grounds with exception of a couple do not have floodlights so there was no way they were going to have such games. I think the first time they played under floodlights was in the Stanford 20-20.
I will say south Africa and Australia are favorites but Pakistan will win the world cup. But really the match between Pakistan and India will be interesting.
West Indies will be pretty happy with their score after they were 80 odd after 27 overs. Now waiting for the Pakistani reply.
It was very sad end for PK. Pakistan lost the match. No batsman was good enough to beat 241 runs score
West Indies will be happy with winning start have few point in Super 8. Pakistan will go without any points in Super 8.
That was some heck of a disappointing perfomance by Pakistani batsmen. The biggest event is on and they still don't have a stable opener.
Pakistan lose their first match to WI. very sad, but its not the end, In 1992 worldcup Pakistan lose to WI in their first match too but won the Worldcup, so i hope the history will repeat itself again! cheers for Pakistan

Yesterday updates: Sri Lanka beat Bermuda by 243 runs. Red alert for India. Sri Lanka 321/6 Bermuda 78/10 Ireland tied with Zimbabwe Ireland 221/9 Zimbabwe 221/10 So we have first tie in this WC. That was great match for me and Jeremy Bray played well in that match.
