It's because your site is about Vista. People that are trying Vista are what they call in marketing terms the "early adopters". And "early adopters" in this niche are usually quite computer saavy, and computer saavy visitors don't click on ads. Mystery solved!
adleym: so i guess i'd have to wait a while until vista goes mainstream eh? wow 430 clicks w/ 1500, shows how bad I am xD. i see.
Depends on your site, I have one making $10 per day with a lot less traffic than you have, and others with more, making little to none.
I had a credit help site. 1,000 unique daily made from $30 to $50. that site had consistent $1 and $2 clicks....
It does depend on your niche. If you're making less than $2, you might want to swtich to pay per impression isntead (who pay around $2 - $3 per 1000) and sell links off adbrite..
do you mind telling me what niche you are in? do you guys think vista is not a very good niche, as in that it will always pay out low? also, please keep in mind that I did not make this blog for the sole purpose of revenue, but it would be nice to earn a little more for what i'm doing ^_^
This is on eof thos question that will lead to a possibilty of thousand different answers. A number of factors will determine the payout rate.
make your ads blend with your site better- they look like they are off in the box on the right- get rid of the line and maybe change the colors so the links are the same as they are for the content.
I'm a dabbler, I have gambling (where I started) escorts, work at home, real estate.. and so on.. Whatever interests me on domain buying day I suppose
I think your site definately has the potential to do more - 1.5k should definately get you around $10 Some things to think about: - add types - link adds don't work very well for me. On your site you put them on the best possible location. Have you tried changing those to standard adds - add location - adds on the left always do better for me than adds on the right of the screen - I see a standard of 50-70% difference in CTR - page popularity - not everybody agrees on this, but I tend to see higher CPC on pages with higher pagerank, so try to get your PR up. Always continue to experiment!
Its dependant on the niche, Out of all the sites I own my best perfomring one is UK mobile phones, I've had upto £5 a click and im averaging around £1 a click. I can't see why your not getting good rates on a windows vista site, maybe give it more time and just keep building your content. I have a theory on why people might not be clicking, if you think about it, we are all SICK to death of getting spam emails about oem copies of vista. Maybe the only ads being displayed on your site are for vista oem copies.
i have a site which gets 20-30 uniques a day and making $5 a day average (sumtimes bit less - sumtimes bit more) But yea it totally goes on the niche.
I was gathering $1-2 and after several adsense changes started to be $3-4 daily. Honestly it happen when I put the adsense inside the text more like MFA way.
1.5k with arcade site with right placement, would be around 5- 10$. for webmaster related sites: 2$ at most. lolz
I get about 400uniques a day, and I'm averaging $6 a day. for 1500uniques, I say about 15 with good placement.
