Does anyone know a site where you can hire template designers? I have had so many problems with freelance designers and I want to hire a firm to design for my company. Too many people are just horrid at design or slow. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
it seems you have got bad experiences with freelances designers, well depends i think a little in luck to stumble with someone fast and good, i am freelance (i didnt take that personal, and dont going to offer me) but i have a good suggestion if you havent try it, what about contest? have you aver try on of them? imho is a great way to get your designs done you got plenty of optiops not to mention the price and many of them are fast and very tanlented guys http://www.sitepoint.com/contests have a look (hope you havent had bad experience there also)
You can find good template designers at project4hire.com. I hired someone there who designed a very nice phpprobid template for me.
You can download free templates from oswd.org (Open Source Web Design) I downloaded one recently tor my site (towereiffel.com) and modified it a little bit.
It upsets me how only 1/4 of these posts were legit. The rest of you guys are spamming services and pming me. This is one trait that really annoys me. You guys ruin it for everyone. As for sitepoint I have looked and even taken an offer out there. I really need a good designer.
You ever thought about buying stock templates? I only mention it because I used to design a lot of web templates and sell them on a site called www dot pixelmill dot com and I usually ended up doing some kind of customization for the client who bought it about 25% of the time, and it never ran more then a couple hundred dollars. I think you could find something there and there's no profit in this for me as I don't sell templates there anymore.
