I was under the impression that the age of a site effected PR?

 

Does submitting to directories with 0 PR bring effect to the backlinks or PR of my site ??? i mean submission to 10 directories with PR0 would be better or with one directory with PR4 ???

Does Directory submission effect the PR much ??? i dont think so much...as the page where our site will be included does not have a PR ...as most of the directories do not have much PR of the inner category pages...
