Cheapest domain registrar?

I have seen a couple places selling .coms and such for .99 but, I want a company that is REPUTABLE. I have a had a terrible experience with "registerfly" and I do not want to go through something like that again!

Where can I get a .com WITH Whois Protection for cheapest?

EDIT: Netfirms has them for $4.95

    http://www.netfirms.com/domain-names/

Are they a reputable company? I've never used them but I have heard about them. Nothing good or bad.

Is it $8.88 + tax, or is it just $8.88?

Also have you ever used netfirms?

Registrars almost exactly have the same prices.

Just take advantage of the coupon codes. ;)

Cheapest is not always the best < you already have an experience with registerfly >

My Advice would be to purchase domains from Netfirms, wait a couple of months and then transfer to namecheap for 9 dollars and get a year free (also WhoisGuard free for the moment).

Netfirms offers a lot of features with the domain but their hosting solutions suck big time.

Or you can get it via http://www.virtuanic.com/. They charges you around USD$8.50 per year inclusive tax. Renewal is at USD$8 per year. I've used their services and no complain whatsoever from me.

Well as said earlier cheapest is not the best!

Ipower is $6.50 for new and renewals and offer fre privacy. This is from opensrs and is pretty decent.

    Also Globat offers $4.99
Domainsarefree.com a sister concern sells for $3.99 renewals are $8.50

I have used all the above for quite sometime and Feel Ipower is good.

In case of registering more domains, does the price stay per item? In example, 10 domains for $69.5!?

They're all the same for the most part. Who cares if you save 99 cents? If you're looking for hosting too, you usually get a really good deal (.99 or 1.99).
