Hi, sorry for the silly question. Someone recently contacted me about Blogging for their site. The way they were going to determine my pay was based on "Pageviews Per Month" My question is: Does pageviews per month increase with MORE blog posts? For example: If my site regularly gets 50,000 page views and on average I post 40 times per month.....will my amount of pageviews increase if all of a sudden I start posting 80 times per month? Again...sorry for the silly questions...I'm trying to wrap my mind around it!
More content... more people use it with RSS and SEO Friendly URLS and there should be a decent increase in traffic
he hit this right on the head. more content, more searches, more visitors. If about.com had 1 page of content, would they get their millions of hits per month? no way, not on this Internet more content == more visitors (only if it's unique content and it's what people are looking for)
I agree with the above equation more content=more visitors Not just content though...visitors will be looking for entertaining, quality and useful contents.
In general, the more unique content your site has, the more chances you'll have to rope in some traffic from search engines. Not a guarantee of course, but it increases your chances for more pageviews.
