Daylight Savings Time Change Today

Longer days!

 

This new schedule is completely screwy.

 

I think now Shawn has changed something in the DST settings

Now it looks that

the time is perfect now its 7.45 PM here

and the time at digitalpoint is also 7.45 PM here!

 

Nope. Web already adjusted to it.

 

All the Windows boxes around here switched over to DST overnight. We only have one Linux server where this really matters and I had to patch it so that it would know the correct offset between localtime and GMT. Another server was not patched because time is not critical to its operation. It sometimes uses Newfie time to throw visitors off.

 

My computer switched automatically, if it weren't for this thread I wouldn't have even known.

 

Oh yes I remembered the patch. It worked fine - I woke up and saw the time updated.

 

i think changing the clock back and forward is a stupid idea

i know that they are thinking of stopping it in scotland which would put us in england an hour in front

 

i hate today since we lose an hour...! and ill have to wait a year to get it back

 

I wonder which genius came up with moving time idea?

I got a text from verizon today (monday) telling me my phone might not be compatible with the new time change...however it has already updated and its a day late...wtf??

 

Lol - you are more then welcome to. I don't hate SUVs cuz they guzzle gas - I hate them cuz they block my view But that ought to be a different thread.

WTFord was I thinking? Ford engineers must have had their heads up their collective ( ) the day they came up with the Explorer's cooling and heating system.

Do you realize that the ONLY way I can recirculate the air within the cabin is to have the controls on MAX A/C?

GREAT. Run the A/C 365 days a year (366 next year) or SUCK down bus fumes all friggin' day.
