B4Blogs.Com ~~ A new born Blog Directory

Dear DP Members,

I would like to announce the launch of www.B4Blogs.Com. A newly created Blog Directory.

B4Blogs.Com is a human edited, family-friendly directory of blogs. We carefully monitor each submission to our directory to ensure that all the websites listed here are spam-free and will provide users with a useful source of information. We will be working hard to make it a comprehensive collection of the best blogs from all around the world. We believe in providing quality contents to our user.

The submission is free and no link back is required (Other than free hosted blogs). There is no guarantee that each and every link will be approved but hopefully we will be accepting a lot of good submissions. I would encourage you to kindly read the “Submission Guidelines” before submitting your link.

We also accept freely hosted blogs. Such as blogs hosted at: WordPress.com, Bloggers.com, blogspot.com and other similar services. For freely hosted blogs, you MUST give us a link back from a reasonable place from your main page.

You might be seeing there are not many Categories atm, so if you want to suggest something, please use “Add Category” feature and I will be looking into it.

It’s a “Soft Launch” as we are still working on certain features. Few things still need to be added and we will do it by the end of this month.

P.S. This is my very first directory so any suggestions/criticism/comments are more than welcome!

I suggest you to use PHPLD 3.xx version
otherwise it's a very nice directory

Good directory Fastian. Some more categories are needed in certain areas though- sports for example ..

Please suggest a category that you want to have. There is an option "Add Category" in the menu.. Please use it

I know most of the submissions are coming from this thread... So I will like to point out something ....
As per the Guidelines ... If your Blog is hosted at "Freely Hosted Blog Sites", you MUST include a link back to us to get accepted ... I noticed that no one have done that.... I have contacted them to get it clear (where I was able to find the owner here). I am currently waiting to correct this or else I will reject the listing ....

Currently there are 7 Blogs in Pending status for the reason above

One suggestion - change the word separator in the urls from underscore to hyphen, for example /Arts_Culture/ to /Arts-Culture/ (see keywords in urls).

Looking nice, i would suggest you to add few more categories there. Like: Internet > Free Stuff Blogs, Internet > Resources etc...

I just want to make a couple of announcement here..

(1) I have decided to Pick certain BEST submissions and make then "Featured". This offer is valid for all the submissions coming in the month of March. So, com'on... what are you waiting for? ... Show me what you have got.

I know the Directory is new and Featured Submission doesn’t mean much at this time, but hay ... see where it would be in 6 months period.. I am sure it will be at least a PR4

(2) Well, now I know that no one actually reads the "submission guidelines" as I am getting some craziest submissions ... I even tried to contact few people by mail or by PM here about it but looks like that is not going to work .. So, any improper submission will be deleted.. (Simple is that)

(3) If anyone is interested in becoming a "Sponsor", contact me here by sending a PM.

LOL, you must be new at this , trust me, I have 3 directories, and no one ever reads the guidelines.
I delete 100's of link every week that are blatantly wrong.

What do you mean? What will the sponsor do?
I might be interested.
