Got my site listed in all the 30 directories as guaranteed. It is only the homepage of each directory that carries the page rank and none of the pages I am listed on have any page rank. So I cannot really see the benefit for my site unless sometime in the future the page rank for each directory filters its way down to the category page.
I'll put this $10 down as a longer term strategic investment.
