Hi, I would really appreciate any help on promoting my e-commerce site. We sell PC software/ hardware and various other electronics. I have used many things that have been talked about on here with limited success. Including blogs, article submission, adwords, yahoo answers and others. Traffic is ok, but has anybody got any other good marketing/ promoting ideas that wont break the bank!

    Thanks in advance

Have you done the flyers distribution? It may work in your local community and it doesn't cost you much.

You could do house from house distribution too.

It means you go door to door and leave a flyer

you can also knock on a few doors and announce your presence to the community as long as its not close to dinner time

Checking with local businesses will help, many people prefer to do deal with vendors in the same city.

I'm no expert on web functionality (I wish I was), but increasing traffic isn't going to be much use if you're not converting as well as you should be; I would concentrate on site functionality first.

Your site just doesn't seem very user friendly to me; and I have absolutely no idea why you link to Amazon, Ebay and Ebuyer because their sites are far more superior, that's a sales hole you should close right now.

Do you think someone is going to take the time and trouble to find the product cheaper on another site and then spend a few days e-mailing your customer support so that you can match the price??? There going to buy from Amazon! The least you could do is have the links open in a new window and get them affiliated.

Like I said, I'm no expert but in my opinion extra traffic isn't priority number 1.
