I have deleted some pages from a site about 10 days ago but Google still have them in its index. I have sent a new sitemap then but the pages are still in Google's index, what can I do to make Google remove them?

Rather than using Google's URL removal tool, 301 redirect the addresses to other pages. This will solve your problem and, if they have any inbound link strength, transfer that strength to the pages you redirect to.

I had a website which deleted pages wasn't removed for about 3-4 months. The Google URL Removal Console. is very useful in this case, but I prefer to use robots.txt . When next time Google crawler will come to my website it will remove removed pages by checking robots.txt .
