Yeah i saw that thread, good read. But what i kinda men't was. I wanna get more traffic threw SE's instead of relying on other sites to bring me traffic.
No need to worry about that. Google doesn't pay amounts under $100 Then you can have them wire it into the account of some help organization for free (I guess the starving child won't have an account).
I thought it was per day. Oh well, I was just trying to cheer him up, now I am afraid I did the opposite.
You know, I'm seeing a lot of big numbers around here. It makes me jealous. I freakin box cabinets for some crappy wage and I think I'll be stuck with that until I'm old enough to be thrown out of the company. I'm glad you guys have made so much, but how about bringing in some tips. 5cents a day is really draging me down. That's my average. Last month it was like 10 cents a week, so at least it's getting better, right? Thanks, maybe I'll seen a miricle soon! I was trying with the stumble it wasn't helping myself. I've been getting backlinks like crazy, ain't helping. I've submitted on like 800 directories, didn't help much (pulled on my pr though) Man, I don't know how you guys do it?
Heh, Id be willing to share my meager stocks of information with you. Im learning as I go along, but its mainly about content. If you're content sucks, or is over-used, it wont be successful.
Well, I didn't say I make a lot, but I have been able to manage a decent cost per click. I have basically just one site with adsense. That site converts well and thus doesn't get smartpricing. It receives a decent amount of traffic too, although it is by far not the highest traffic site I own. Now whenever I put adsense on another site, even if it has more traffic, my overall earnings go down due to smartpricing (pretty stupid if you ask me, since the good site still converts the same it always did, but I am making less with more sites and clicks). So figure out how you can increase the conversion ratio. Get highly targetted traffic and don't go after the cheap clicks. Understand your audience and cater to their needs. Don't overly blend the ads so they don't know they are clicking to buy (I want my clicks to convert). Never give up and enjoy your websites. You need to change your attitude. Run your sites for fun and your visitors will realize its not just another money site. They come back and enjoy your site together with you. If they are interested they click. I get a very good amount of return visitors. Also a visitor is worth more to me than a click. I offer adsense as a way out of my site, if the person has enough or as a way to purchase something related to the article they were just interested in. I don't run the site for adsense, I have adsense on the site to benefit my visitors (since I don't sell products directly, but they may want to buy something related to the article). I consider ad blending a way to make the site look nice but not to deceive anyone into clicking an ad.
Bill as you probably don't know I run an article directory - article-gems. I thought it would be a great way to get heaps of content rich pages with adsense - which of course it is - just one problem in the formula - I ain't getting the "show me the money" feeling. Any advice?
You should consider placing your search box in a more prominant location, that alone should generate at least one click and add to your earnings
Yeah that was the layout change I was talking about, didn't turn out too well huh. As most people know the Google Search box never makes much on any site.
