    anyone know a software for this ?

    if you have a music file , can you separate words from music ?

    any info appreciated

    you can also do it through frequency of sound - you just pull out the freq. of the artists voice. Not sure how, but I've done it before.

    get a mixer program, like audacity....I use it for my mobile recording studio....the free one won't do it, but as far as I know the pay version will....basically you have to import the song into a mixer that can pull out the different channels...then you can pull words, riffs, drums, whatever. Also, get a mac computer if you are wanting to do this type of stuff...

    This will not work, as the voice is in the same frequencies as many other instruments. You have to do it by phase.
