Possible legal threats of a forum

What are the possible legal threats of running a religious debate forum? I know that it is free speech, and it is relatively speech, but my ignorant father told me that it would be in my best interest to operate under an LLC, but I would rather run it as a personal project than a corporate thing.

What do you think? Can you offer any advice?

Here's a tip. Don't libel someone. (Slander is SPOKEN, libel is printed)

I'm not a lawyer (yet), but you might have a tough time proving that it was your business and not you who was the one slandering on a message forum.

What if someone else says it? Can I be held responsible?
