I've been an AdSense publisher for about 7 months and have just been excepted into YPN. I'm just wondering what I should expect from Yahoo. I hear you get a little more $ per click but not quite as high of a ctr due to less relevant ads. I'm excited to see how it will work as I'm sure we'll switch over to YPN ads by the end of the weekend. I'll post back in a week or so to share my experience. Thanks in advance
We can't really tell you what you should expect because it varies depending on your niche, how you put your ads, etc. But from my personal experiences, you should definately get a higher payout than Adsense. Congrats on getting excepted.
Here's what to expect: - Your ads won't be well targeted. - You'll have a rationally based fear being terminated for no apparent reason. - You'll fear contacting YPN tech support because that might trigger termination. - You'll get squirrelly Compliance Manager messages that further add to your fear of being terminated. - Once terminated, you'll have a well-founded fear not being paid. Welcome to the club. Enjoy your stay.
I disagree, that means the advertiser is paying around $.12 cents per click, and that is a decent chunk of change for a low targetted visitor to CLICK to a page in hopes of buying something. You my friend odviously have never advertised before and know nothing about how the whole spectrum of this arena works.
It depends on your content and what kinds of Ads that show on your sites. That way you can determine the cost of the click. I heard that YPN pays more than Adsense, but I think they are doing that now.. so they can pull the Adsense users. Sooner or later you will be even, so I think it's not worth to edit all your sites for a few extra bucks.
well, thats still a good advantage.. even if they are just paying a lil higher for a lil wile its still good.. jump on and then get off
LOL......just stay within the TOS. I'm enjoying my stay with no worries. YPN contacted me about a TOS violation, I changed my layout and everything's fine. At one point I did try adsense and the results were horrendous. I had more clicks but a LOT less money. I prefer YPN any day. Keep in mind, this was on an online arcade. Like the rest say, it really will depend on your niche and layout and what-not. But don't be afraid of termination. Stay within the TOS and you'll be fine. Besides, you've been living without YPN for this long. -boxer126
adsence pays as little as .5c I believe. I have a couple of shit niches where 40 clicks is lucky to equal 40c. I personally would love YPN over this.
I tried YPN for nearly a month and they did not pay as well as Adsense did. (The sites I used it on were gaming related.)
