Damn DP directory owners are turning into uptight snobs..Hes writing a review based on his opinion, nothing bad was said yet some of you are talking about slander.LOL Whats it matter if his design isn't great, i wonder if all these journalists are better looking than the celebrities they criticize everyday, or have more money than the corporations they slam everyday. His review is no worse than the 100 link drops a day a lot of you guys do in all the directory threads, hmm maybe thats slander, sue me
Lol Mike ! This is gonna be the best contest review ever. I already told her that in another thread that whenever I see her post it seems my concentration sways away from the template deal.
hrmm this thread was interesting. I don't know what the big fuss is about though. It's one guy, one view, one write up all his own personal opinion. everyone is entitled, so I say let it be. we all have our own personal favs, and just because xyz is mine doesnt mean it's no better or worse than yours, which is abc. it's just personal preference.
@popotalk: That's what a review should be. No point for a review that is sugar coated, might as well read the press release. @Alis: Na, I am not a journalist. Just a crappy directory owner, writing a review. Thanks for the rep. My review is from the point of view from someone who might want to submit to the directory. So it is catered for webmasters. @ jabb: Actually I knew it will generate some buzz. I mentioned that in the GoGuides review. But what I am surprised is that instead of disagreeing with my review, most of the comments are about my site being "horse manure" and slander. They don't even have anything to say about the points in my review. I am pretty sure all of us are mature enough to accept criticism. If my site looks ugly, that's because it is ugly and I spent like 2 hours "designing" it. But i did it myself. I spent like 20 dollars. If my site is crappy, that because most of the sites are duplicates with duplicate content. But name calling is just not right. @ Searchbuster: Thanks. @ dugu: Thanks. Will do. But it may take a couple of months. @ anon: Me neither. Having a favourite doesn't mean it won't have faults.
yep, i agree. i am unsure of what others say and/or do, but i take criticism as a stepping tool to be used to help for the betterment. it helps me to weigh what the general consensus has to say about any one particular thing in mind, and try to progressively build from that point on to try and help build a medium to which will be appeasing to all or at least the majority. by far not an easy task, and i realize that there will not ever be 100% satisfaction of the time, but nonetheless, if you can get it up there in the 90ish percentile, then it's a sure shot winner.
Well, I was hoping that people here will criticize my review or perhaps my writing style. But I was disappointed.
