Someone uses Yahoo Finance section for stock trades? If yes, do you consider yourself an active trader? How successful you are? I am thinking to start doing online stock trading as well. Yahoo Finance might be a good source for obtaining information about publicly traded companies. What do you think?
I use Yahoo Finance merely for creating a stocklist. I am in Canada and use GlobeInvestor.com for research.
I use Yahoo Finance as main financial reference source. I haven't trade stocks usign this info though.
Yes, I checked Etrade as well. They are good and growing, but if I would have to make a choice, I would stick to ScotTrade.
Yahoo Finance is hardly a good source if you're an active trader. Your broker should be able to provide you with some Level II quotes. I believe Scottrade doesn't offer it.
Some online brokers don't charge commission anymore. You might want to check them out: Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Zecco etc. I'm currently using TD Ameritrade and they offer Level II quotes.
I use it to display stocks, but considering it runs 15-20 min behind, I would not use it as a source for trading...
I am from India.. I use Yahoo Finance just to see the real time quotes of stocks... and also its new beta graph is awesome.....
Yahoo Finance is one of the sites that I use for online trading. Please note that your online broker (etrade, ameritrade, etc..) will provide the same set of news and information if not more. You can also use them.
