well... create original categories, don't use a dump a nice design - original one or hardly modified one start adding links manually, eventually gather lists of blogs containing the Name, Email, Title, Description of the sites and then use the Send Email and add link of the phpLD waste a week every two months on submissions to directories.. post a lot in forums and in 7-8 months it will start to bring something back

two point are new to me, why to buy and where and what to buy link and why dont offer free listing? i thought i will help in Making traffic..isnt it?
Just buy links on the sales forum and submit to some paid directories. If you offer for free your resource will have a low perceived value and will be abused, the traffic you attract is worthless normally submitter services. You need some budget; I think if you are inventive you can launch a niche with $300-$500 investment.
my advice to you buddy is Just have something unique Unique Skin Have something new to offer (Don't copy the categories) meaning don't just put the dump in because it won't do you no good. Add special services including blogs / freebies etc etc. add to tons and tons and tons of directories ... and keep the quality ..

well i suggest you buy a paid version of phpLD because much more templates avail. and very excellent script. Than you would have to spend money buying sitewides and blog posts etc etc... PPC if you got lots of cash. than pay an0n to get some cool mods in ur site and u r good to go
ask you are a bit low there especially for designing.. i'd say $25 for phpLD $300 for custom skin (a good one) $150 for mods and such and than have around 300+++ for link buying
