i am still waiting for someone telling me which is a better option intel processor or amd processor the vendor says its intel but i know they say so because they get higer commission on intel products can anyone tell me? gaurav
I use both, and I prefer AMD for the following reasons: 1. same speed, but much cheaper 2. easier to overclock
thanks a lot frank cow for telling me... one more thing can you tell me something about compatibility of ge force cards and radeon cards with intel and amd i think intel + geforce and amd + radeon provides the best results what you think?? gaurav
Only because they're bundling. You'll have to look up each specific card's performance. Really, both cards will be compatible with either CPU
hmmm... thanks for telling its nice chatting with you frankcow and you are really very friendly frankcow thanks again for telling me the answers gaurav
* processor speed:-2.8Ghz with HT * ram:-512 MB DDR * hard disk:-80GB SATA (almost full,only 150 MB left) * graphic card:-onboard * screen:-17" LG * sound system:-5.1 creative * other accessories:- i-head phone
1) My understanding: in the old days, Intel touted faster clock speeds but AMD processors actually outperformed the Intel chip at lower GHz b/c they were able to execute more instructions per cycle. So for instance, AMD was far preferred over Intel by gamers today, I think with the dual processors, the Intel Core Duo's are actually a little quicker than the X64 AMD chips. BUT, like you said, best bang for your buck is often if not always AMD.
* processor :- intel pentium D dual core * processor speed:- 2.8 GHz * ram:- 1 Gb DDR2 * hard disk:- 80 Gb WD SATA * graphic card:- not install yet * screen:- 17" Acer AL1717 LCD monitor * sound system:- Crystal SoundFusion * other accessories:- hm...
