Yesterday's stats show 3x as many clicks as normal. None of those extra clicks are showing up in my channels. So, does that mean somebody copied my pub id to another site and repeated clicked to try to get me banned? Also of interest, it looks like all those extra clicks did not pay anything. Yesterday's revenue is accounted for in my channels. Very strange. I emailed Goog.
you did the right thing: when one faces a strange issue like this it's always good to email Adsense Support asap. keep us updated
There are all kinds of people out there. If something can technically be done, there will always be somebody that will do it.
Got a short reply saying thanks for letting us know of your concerns but we can't tell you anything about anything and by the way in the future we might reduce your earnings for invalid clicks on your site. Whatever. As I told them in my email, the clicks obviously were NOT from my website since they don't show in my channels which cover the entire site. This kind of "customer service" doen't win friends or support.
Yes, a customary response on their part. Keep record of all of your emails with Google as you may need to prove something to them down the line.
GeoMark its hard to know the answer without knowing the volume of your normal clicks per day etc I have some accounts that dont get too much traffic and I have observed what youve mentioned many times, without any ill effects. pete
You guys aren't reading. Again, the clicks did not come from my website. My site is covered by the channels I have defined and the extra clicks did not show in the channels. So they came from another URL, which is not mine.
Maybe your site got better indexed in google search engine, you never mentioned impressions. After Google received your email I am sure they looked at it closely, they would find pretty easy if your code was used on not your site or sites.
It would be nice if they would provide some useful information instead of their typical BS "...due to proprietary nature of our systems we cannot provide any information on the sources of clicks...".
