Article submission and pagerank question.

Ok, so i've heard all over the web that article submission increases your pagerank and inbound links.. right?

But what i fail to understand is that most article directories have thousands of articles and mostly their front page is only the high PR link.

So, even if we do submit the articles, the quality of the backlinks is not great is it? i mean, we could conclude that it is literally 0..

how does that help in that case??

Because other sites pick up these articles and post them on their sites.

Here is the way that I look at it. Even just submitting your article to the article directory will get you one backlink. Backlinks are very important, if not the most important thing to be concerntrating on because you need a way for others to find your site. Look at a brand new site, it will have zero backlinks, ie. zero ways for someone to find it, other than just typing in the URL which is rare.

Now each article you submit if written somewhat reasonably should generate you 10's if not 100's of backlinks! So with each article, you are creating a WEB or a path for people to notice your site. Over time, if done regularly, the backlinks add up like crazy. When you have tons and tons of backlinks, the search engines recognize your site for your chosen keyword MORE than a site (for the choosen keyword) with less backlinks! Understand?

Pagerank is something different, this is the value of each of your backlinks. I would not concentrate or worry about that when submitting articles. Submit to Directories and this will help pagerank.

BTW...I only submit to ezinearticles, Isnare (paid services) and Goarticles.

    I hope that I helped!

I just submitted my first article to isnare today. It hasn't gotten approved yet but I am hoping it will in the next few days. Is there anyway to track the amount of backlinks you are receiving from a particular article or do you just put it out there and let it do its thing?

Article submission will surely increase traffic and inbound links. But make sure that your article is unique, fresh and with quality content. Also include the author's name and details on the resource box. Choose article directories with page rank and will surely increase traffic for your site such as ezinearticle.
