Yes. Gmail allows you to put a dot anywhere in your address.

So could be john.smith or jo.hnsmith

From now on when I have to give an email over the phone and I want to annoy someone I will say:

i had mine too

 

It means you can easily create rules for your email.

For example john.smith would go to once folder (tag) and jo.hnsmith goes somewhere else.

 

Gmail allows you to put a dot in your email but not Underscores "_"
so yes I think is valid

 

thanks.i rarely send an email.i thought it was weird that the address had a dot com.
never used gmail,but my yahoo address has a Underscore.
